Toys
The New Karpman Triangle.
This simple and powerful metaphor for human interactions was proposed by
Stephen Karpman in 1968. In his model, three established roles Victim, Rescuer, and Persecutor constantly alternate in conflict situations, creating recurring, often destructive scenarios.
The "Toys" series of paintings goes beyond this model of human relationships and beyond the scale of the human personality.
"People as toys" in the hands of systems. From advertising campaigns and various trainings to social media platforms. The human body and behavior are increasingly becoming objects of manipulation, design, and consumption.
The paintings depict patterns of power and dependence, the drama of public space, and the play of identity and responsibility all of which are especially noticeable in the age of social media and mass culture.
This series is an invitation to practice: to recognize the substitution of concepts, to dialogue, and to create other forms of interaction with today's world. Art here serves not simply as an illustration, but as a testing ground for rehearsing new scripts.
